Space requierment:

Any area allowing the group to move comfortably, with a ratio of 3m2 per participant.

Requirements:

This protocol only works when the group has sufficient physical, vocal or other practices to allow each member to carry out a consistent warm-up.

Preparation

The facilitator leads the group through the protocol, reading and then executing the entire Process.

Process

  • Have a different person lead the morning warm-up each day.

  • Ask each day who would be interested in leading the next day's warm-up.

  • There is no obligation to lead a warm up if one does not feel comfortable doing so.

Notes

During the “Action” research project at La Manufacture (2018), the group members each led a one-hour morning warm-up. We thus had a session of singing and voice, yoga, whirling dervishes, self-massages, nature walks... and a strong, joyful group.
