Process
Every participant chooses a song she'd like to share with the group and dance to.
Create a playlist from the songs you've chosen.
Spread out in the space as you wish, leaving space between each song.Start the playlist and remain still and listen or move around.
To the rhythm of each song, start dancing.
The playlist continues until all the songs have been played.
At the end of the playlist, offer a time for discussion, giving everyone a chance to talk about the song they've chosen and/or how they felt at the end of the exercise.
Recommandation
Take care of your own dance space and that of others. Dance at your own pace, pausing as often as necessary. Create a non-judgmental space for yourself and others. You can dance by yourself or in connection with others.
Variations
You can add objects (light balls, scarves, etc.) to be thrown between the dancers to amplify the collective dimension. In this case, the objects must remain in circulation. This variation creates a tangible link between the dancers and involves everyone in a collective movement.
