Process
One member of the group closes her eyes, or leaves briefly.
The rest of the group agrees (silently, if the person's eyes are closed) on a number between 1 and 10.
The person who reopens her eyes or returns to the group must guess the number collectively chosen by the group, on the following basis: if you were such and such a thing (suggest a category of your choice), what would you be? Example: “If you were a dish, what would you be?”
Each person in the group answers according to their own sensitivity, knowing that they will say what they consider to be the worst thing in the category as number 1, and the best as number 10. The 1 could, for example, be pork offal for someone, and their 10 could be a morel risotto.
Notes
Be careful not to use adjectives of value, e.g. “an EXQUISITE morel risotto”, and to use a fairly objective vocabulary.
Be careful, too, with BUTs and ANDs, and with mimics or comments that are too telling.
